Bridget Riley is a middle school social studies teacher and advisor. She has served as a diversity, enquiry, and inclusion leader for her school and has served on the 2022 content curation task force for Educating for American Democracy. Bridget earned her Ph.D. in history from the University of Toronto.
In December 2022, Bridget authored “Strengthening Civics Education With an Inquiry-Based Approach” which delves into inquiry-based learning and explores how students can drive conversation to prepare them for a lifetime of civic participation. It’s a thought-provoking read for anyone invested in student education and who wants to see the next generation in control and invested in the knowledge they acquire.
